Rotary evaporator (or Rotavapor/ Rotovap) is a device used in chemical laboratories for the efficient and gentle removal of solvents from samples by evaporation.

Rotary evaporator makes the material be rotated to thin film, under the constant temperature and negative pressure. It can be evaporated efficiently, very suitable for the crystallization, separation and solvent recovery for heating sensitive materials. Some models can also be used for reflux extraction. It is an important equipment for scientific research and production in Biology, Medicine, Chemical and Food Industry.

Application

Large capacity and large opening of evaporating flask give larger evaporation surface. The evaporating flask keeps rotating when it is constantly heated by water bath, and solvent evaporates more efficiently under vacuum condition. It can be used for pilot-scale production in biology engineering, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry and food processing. It usually works with water circulating vacuum pump, diaphragm vacuum pump, recirculating chiller, constant-temperature circulator, low temperature circulating pump.
